Back again racing for the first round of the Central Queensland Series Round 1 held at Emerald. Tracked looked the best it ever has with the rains opening up again making for great racing.
This Trip was only a little drive less than 2 hours from home, Saturday morning practice went well bike was setup great for the weekend - Race 1 gate pick wasn't the best got gate 37th with peg draw. Race 1 got underway with a good jump coming around the first corner in 6th, made my way to the front within 1 lap putting my head down hitting all my marks finishing with the 1st position.
Race 2 gave me first gate pick allowing me to choose a better gate position, Got the Hole shot allowing me to get out front and ride my race finishing 1st overall. Saturday night the heavens opened and rained a lot making riding Sunday cancelled.
Central Queensland Series has been great series over the past few years allowing for some great training for the up coming larger events.
