Round Two for Airoh MX Series at Roma rounds off busy race schedule

Both West brothers, Brad and Jason, travelled to Roma’s Ironbark Raceway for the second round of the Airoh Motocross Series.

Despite the lack of rain in central Queensland, the Roma track provided a very challenging race surface with lots of moisture - a credit to the club and track staff.

Practice went well for Brad as he learned the layout and gained an understanding of the traction available to the KX250. Importantly, Brad’s starts were on point all weekend helping him to win all three motos over the weekend.

It wasn’t easy for the #45 though, with Brad battling some soreness after a midweek practice crash whilst training at home.

Younger brother Jason was again aboard the KX 85 and had some good finishes with fifth overall over the motos. Although having some great speed, a few too many mistakes cost some valuable points and kept him off the podium.

Next stop for the team is the MX Nationals at Broadford Victoria on April 14.

Brad will race the 250 Rookie Cup against some very tough nation-wide competition that will converge on the iconic track for the event.
