WEST WINS 2018 AUSTRALIAN SUPERCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP

West Wins 2018 Australian 85cc Championship aboard his Kawasaki Kx 85. West was 10 points in front leading into the last round being held at Qudos Stadium Sydney at the renowned Aus X Open event.

Weekend went well practice was little wet but became much better through out the laps. Qualified the fasted out of the sessions, managed to master my way through the large whoops on the little bike.

Racing on the night did not go to plan, just couldn't get my starts sorted through out the night.

If anybody was watching the night we where not allowed to jump the finish line jump much to my disappointment which would of separated the field of riders.

Made some silly mistakes doing some soil testing, still had faster times but could not get my rhythm sorted, maybe I was thinking about the points game to much not to sure.

We had some small bike problems for the weekend but had no time between racing to rectify the cause so we raced what we had......

But ........... Managed to win the 2018 Australian championship also taking out the Peter Melton Trophy for the night. Like to thank Motorcycling Australia for allowing the 85 back into the Australian Supercross Series and also everybody behind the series.

Learnt a lot this year being my first year ever doing Supercross, takes a lot of concentration and timing to master a pro track, so the goal was to stay fit and healthy learning every time I was on the track.
